Formally know as the trio FrankenSTEIM's Monster, Emily Shapiro joins, Peter Coyte, Sean Williams and Tim Fletcher to create The Cracklebox Quartet for this unique performance.
Using original Crackleboxes designed by Michel Waisvisz at the STEIM Foundation in Amsterdam in the early 1970s which were a type of avant-garde Stylophone using touch to complete electronic circuits rather than a stylus.
The plan is is add more members so anyone who has a Cracklebox please get in touch via Coastal Electronauts.
Coastal Electronauts meet on the 2nd Thursday every month in Whitstable. We live stream all our EMOMs, and generally have 7-10 performers each month.
