I was inspired by a video from Cre8tiveBabe to alter some resin cabs that didn't come out well using crackle nail enamel! And it totally worked! I'm thinking this specific type of polish could be used to "crackle" rocks, polymer clay, shells, glass, pretty much anything it will stick to.
