Description: Scenes taken while being shunted around Novosibirsk station. While not as busy as Ulan Ude due to the freights bypassing the city, there is still a lot to see. I counted at least 5 separate crews engaged in switching passenger trains. Of interest are the Railway Postal cars which the Russians still use to sort mail while en route, and a plinthed FD class 2-10-2 in a park near the tracks.

I have recopied Red Moser's films with a film digitizer. The results are greatly improved over the previous mirror box transfers. Herewith is a sampler from his two trips on the Canadian in June and December 1970, with a few later shots of the Spiral Tunnels added. Merry Christmas!
