Join me for a few cozy December days in my life filled with holiday prep and festive traditions. In this vlog, we’re baking cookies for a Christmas cookie exchange party, prepping Christmas-themed party games, and sending out our Christmas cards. We’ll also do some thrifting for thoughtful gifts and wrap presents—plus I share what we’re giving our toddler for Christmas. 🍪🎄✉️

► HOW TO PLAY FAMILY (A fun Christmas-y party game!)
1. Everyone playing writes their Christmas character (whatever category you decide on) down on a slip of paper, folds it in half, and puts it in a bowl.
2. Next, a designated person reads through all the slips of paper twice, with everyone trying to remember as many as possible (it’s okay if there are multiples of a name).
3. Now the fun begins! Everyone should sit in a circle and going clockwise, each player takes a turn trying to guess one other player’s Christmas character (i.e. “are you Santa?”). The other player must answer honestly yes or no.
4. If they guess correctly, the guessed player should move over and sit with the “family” of the guesser, joining the family. The player who guessed correctly gets another guess, and this continues until they make an incorrect guess.
5. Once an incorrect guess is made, the current player’s turn ends, and then it is the next empire or player’s turn to their left. Always rotating in a clockwise rotation.
6. When players join another family, they can work together but the leader is the spokesman and the only one who gets a turn.
7. If a player guesses correctly another family leader’s character, then the whole family, including all the team members goes to the new family.
8. Through this process, each family continues to grow until eventually there is only one family left and everyone is part of that family. The leader of that family is the winner!
Note: We like to play with the rule that the same player cannot be guessed twice in a row. The same character is fine to be guessed back-to-back, but not the same player.
