This Morning, as I was leaving to run errands in my neighborhood, which is the Fish Canyon Area, in Duarte, Ca, between Brookridge Rd. and Mountaincrest, I spotted two wild hungry coyotes, looking for food and most likely water.
In this area, we get Skunks, Possums, Raccoons, Snakes, and on occasion Bears. Since the recent Fish Fire, most of all the vegetarian has burned to the ground, and it leaves nothing for the wild animals, who live up in the hillside, so they come down looking for food.
There's been an increase on missing cats and dogs, in the area, so all pet owners are told to keep their pets inside. Coyotes don't mess around, they hunt in pacts, and this is exactly what these two are doing.
In this area, we have Neighborhood Watch with the NextDoor app, that most everyone who lives in this Fish Canyon area has, which keeps every resident notified on suspicious activity, emergencies, missing animals, and other topics.
I got as close as I could to these wild animals. It's like having a zoo, right in your backyard, but dangerous when it comes to having your kids outside playing in the front yard, just like what this Coyote did in this video. There could of been children playing in the front yard, and that Coyote jumped that iron fence. If there were children in the yard, and the parents inside the house, that Coyote would of snatched one of the children, and alerted the second Coyote to come and grab the other. Scary. And this is in the Afternoon.
