While Grace was dreaming about a forest, Benjamin was dreaming about a mall.
He couldn’t figure out why he was there, but he heard familiar voices. Before he could think, he ran for the exits, but there were none. The windows couldn’t be broken. The vents were screwed on tight. It felt as if he was being squished.
He saw their figures, all messed up, and he knew immediately.
I had trapped him in that mall.
But, his face…all twisted in horror…
I have never seen someone so…terrified of other humans.

Happy Halloween!!
Sorry I couldn’t make a special series for the spooky season, but I could make this. It’s not much of a “Halloween Special”, but the least I could do.
So, uh, here’s the problem. My wifi’s been out for a few days and I wasn’t able to make and send covers to my IPad to begin making the video. But unfortunately, I was struck with an idea to make a cover for FNF Lullaby’s Death Toll, because the second half, for some reason, reminded me of my least favorite deal maker!
Not only that, when I mentioned this in my Discord server, I realized this fit.
And I hated it.
But I couldn’t get the idea out of my head. This is where the wifi thing comes into play. I couldn’t get it out of my head because Death Toll was like a lamp and I was the moth. The creepypasta itself makes me want to punt a fictional evil bell Pokemon and a demonic old man, I don’t like contracts in fiction (even though the contract thing was exclusively made for Death Toll; read the creepypasta to see what I mean), and the stigma for bad endings is still firmly in my brain, but. This. Cover. Idea. Pretty much. CONSUMED. ME.
BIG THANKS to @erifluffball helping me with this cover on short notice, especially since they had something to do and I couldn’t properly word everything. The cover and Ariel chromatic was explicitly made by them, I just gave them some pointers and drew the art.

Ako’s chromatic is actually what Yui (the creator of Literature Girls and Ako) said she thinks Ako’s voice would sound like the vocals from Fallen Angel (Panty and Stocking’s ending song), so I took it and made her chromatic with samples from that.
Now, why’s she singing with Kuninobu? Well, two things. 1. It was originally going to be Monika, but I decided against it, and 2. I just really like Kuninobu’s chromatic.
(While writing this I realized both their samples are taken from songs instead of characters just speaking, so they have one thing in common)

Friday Night Funkin is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47.
