Here's something I noticed not too long ago, at bombsite A in the map de_zoo you can hear very familiar sounds at the doors.

For those who don't know, these sounds belong to the Serious Sam games, created and developed by Croteam from way back in 2001.

The footage shown from Serious Sam is from the HD remake released in 2009/2010, but the sounds are still the same from the game that was originally released in 2001/2002, so it makes no difference recording them in the classic versions or from the HD remakes.

Could it possibly be that the map creators are just too good at remaking sounds? Or that both Croteam and the map authors got the sounds from some public source? Or that the sounds are taken with slightly different pitch and frequency?

Gnaar
Gizmo/Marshhopper

Is it just a coincidence that these sounds happen to sound just the same as in Serious Sam?
