Dimash USA Fan Club is honored to announce our COUNTDOWN TO BASTAU! We are just one week away from the 3rd anniversary of Dimash Kudaibergen’s first major solo concert, appropriately named “Bastau”, meaning “Beginning”. Our State Teams are preparing. The Bastau concert took place following Dimash’s very successful participation on the 5th season of Hunan TV’s “Singer” competition show in China earlier that year. When Dimash returned to Kazakhstan from China, he began the 2 ½ months of preparation and planning that went into the production of his upcoming concert. Bastau was produced by Andrei Eremin, with the support of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Sports. The concert was held at the Astana Arena, in Astana (now Nur-Sultan), Kazakhstan on June 27, 2017. Along with the local Kazakhstani people, fans from Russia, Ukraine, China, France, and USA made their way to Kazakhstan to support Dimash and attend his concert. The concert began at 8:00pm (20:00) NST. Dimash was preceded by several local opening acts and the opening address was given by The Minister of Culture and Sports, Arystanbek Mukhamediuly. He welcomed the audience and expressed complimentary sentiments regarding Dimash’s talent with accolade.
The stadium houses 30,000 seats, which were SOLD OUT according to a report from a Kazakhstan news source. In addition, the “fan zone” and playing field were also filled with an uncounted number of spectators. Though the total number of attendees is unknown, it is clear that Dimash played to a packed house.
Dimash hit the stage with unmatched energy and enthusiasm. He astounded spectators with both his vocal ability and stage presence, the likes of which one would expect to see from a seasoned performer of many years. Dimash gave a professional and spirited performance that no one would ever forget!
Dimash’s repertoire that evening included songs in his native Kazakh language, as well as French, Russian, English, and Chinese.
As can be seen in the behind-the-scenes footage from the concert, Bastau was such a significant event for Dimash and those loved ones that surrounded him. When Dimash concluded the show and returned backstage, his team, crew, friends and family members applauded him. His father, overwhelmed and in tears, hugged his son with extreme pride and happiness.
We congratulate Dimash, from the bottom of our hearts, and celebrate this monumental anniversary in his career! We also wish to give special thanks to the Dimash Dostar Fan Group in Kazakhstan. Dimash Dostar hosted the first concert pre-party for Dimash, prior to Bastau. Travelling from America, the Dimash USA Fan Club was represented at the concert and the pre-party! The warm welcome and hospitality shown to our founder by Dimash, his family, Dimash Dostar and the people of Kazakhstan was incredible and went well above-and-beyond! Thank you and We love you in the USA!
