Hi butterflies!!!
This is for my VC class. We had to make a 10 second looping countdown animation. Hehehe this may be damn near a week late, but I also think I probably made it way more complicated and animation heavy than it needed to be. Soooooo yea. I'm super happy with it though!!! And it's the first school animation since first semester junior year that I feel like I got everything completely how I wanted it. I didn't forget anything, I didn't rush the editing and thus forget things—cough cough Burn Trailer cough, I still love the Burn Trailer but my god was the editing rushed and I forgot quite a few things; I think the only part that was fully edited in that was the beginning shot XD. No joke I was exporting the Burn Trailer at the start of class the day it was due (Ｔ▽Ｔ)
Anyway, like I said I'm super happy with the final result!! The animation came out smooth and I love the transitions!!! Let me know what you guys think^^
The idea for my countdown was to have the backgrounds switching between solid color (with the medium blue and coral pink) and painted backgrounds. So 10 is my logo, 9 is painted clouds, 8 is butterflies with 8 as a marking, 7 is Vetr Eldr (because Butterfly is the 7th Valkyrie in the story), 6 is human me and wolf me, 5 is more butterflies, 4 is bubbles, 3 is Butterfly, Teach, and Vane (3 characters), 2 is Loki and I (2 characters), and 1 is my human design outlooking a starry night sky over the ocean and a forest in the fg with butterflies on the ground (1 character). The idea is 1 brings everything together: the sky from 9; butterflies from 8 and 5; the ocean from 4 and 3; the night sky represents the stars for Teach, Vane, and Loki from 2 and 3 (in the nebula you can see their 3 stars); and me for 6, 7, and 10 (as well as the forest for 7).
There's also two versions of the song because the one without lyrics fits for a countdown better, but I just liked having the lyrics as well so that one is for me^^
Also the requirements were to make it square aspect ratio for Instagram, but I wanted to post it full screen here as well. So, I kept all the main animation and bits in the square aspect ratio and it works really well on all but #2. That one doesn't fit super well in the square.
Oh and yea if you follow me on Instagram you've probably seen Butterfly got a redesign—again (⌒_⌒;)—as well as human Butterfly. Which is just me lol (aside from the eyes, I may have blue eye but they aren't no vibrant light teal XD). Otherwise, here's the new designs!!^^ You can check them out on my Instagram!
