Greek history is filled with stories from mythology of the Greek gods, who reigned from atop Mount Olympus, descending from the mountain to meddle in the affairs of mortals. But did this work the other way? In this history video we dive into the question of whether the ancient Greeks believed they could reach the gods on Mount Olympus.
We begin with a discussion of the Greek religious worldview. We then look at the stories they told of Mount Olympus and how figures from mythology climbed its heights. We then look at the realities of the Greeks themselves climbing the mountain.

A history documentary on the True Size of a Byzantine Army of the Thematic Reforms. We begin the episode with the broad trends of the era which had seen the Roman army transform from legions of heavy infantry to a more eastern, cavalry centric force. This system would face additional shakeups with the advent of the Thematic Reforms which moved from a fully professional force to one of rotating levies. We spend some time discussing the structure of the Themes and how its denizens were called up for war.
Next we introduce the basic soldier types of the Byzantine Army before then organizing them into the ever increasing building blocks of this later Roman army. Finally, once the army is build, we cover its Roman army camp, its army march column, and its deployment in battle.

We continue to explore the true size of armies in Warhammer 40,000. This particular episode focuses on a Krieg Siege Regiment. We begin with the history of Krieg as a thriving hive world and how a disastrous civil war eventually left it as a hellish death world. Yet from the ashes rose a new Krieg army, the Death Korps.
We cover the Krieg Military at a high level. This includes their war doctrine and their particular ways of fielding massive troop counts for siege based combat. We then review the Death Korps army organization such as the 88th Siege Army which fought at the Siege of Vraks. Finally we reconstruct our own theoretical Siege Regiment from the humble Krieg soldier to the massive Line Infantry Company. In following episodes we will cover the armor, artillery, and support companies of this vast combined arms force.

In this history documentary we seek to bring to life the army of the First Crusade. Contemporary accounts report incredibly high figures on the order of 600,000 men with claims that the army would have numbered in the millions had everyone made it to the holy land. But just how much can we trust these claims.
We reconstruct the army using using more recent academic analysis of casualty rates and unit composition ratios to estimate a more accurate model. This is covered with topics or organization, equipment, and more.
