The Strait of Hormuz is not the world’s only maritime chokepoint. The Strait of Malacca carries an even bigger share of the world's oil and runs through Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. Inspired by Iran's closure of Hormuz, some Indonesian politicians have recently suggested charging ships to use the Malacca strait. How would this affect global trade?
