Have you ever been sick or injured miles from any hospital? Imagine this happening to you hundreds of millions of miles away on Mars. It would then become imperative to be autonomous and to be able to take care of yourself. The VR MARS team is testing the provision of augmented reality medical assistance to treat a medical emergency occurring in an isolated or constrained environment, such as a space station, or why not on Mars?

Ronan QUERREC, Professor of Computer Science at the European Center for Virtual Reality, explains here the need to fly during several parabolic flight campaigns to perfect their project.
