The Cotswold Way – a truly beautiful National Trail stretching just over 100 miles. It begins in the charming market town of Chipping Campden, meanders south through the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and finishes in the historic City of Bath.
Join me on this series every Sunday as I set out to walk and film every single step of this stunning trail, sharing the entire journey with you from start to finish.
Part 8: Birdlip to Painswick – 7.27 miles (11.7 km)
Starting from Birdlip, we’ll venture through magnificent semi-natural beech woodlands, before reaching Cooper’s Hill, famously known for its annual cheese-rolling event that takes place every Spring Bank Holiday Monday. After this, the path opens up onto the common land and golf course of Painswick Beacon, where the remains of an Iron Age hill fort offer a glimpse into the past.
As we continue, we’ll find ourselves arriving in the charming town of Painswick, which marks the mid-point of the Cotswold Way, with its charming streets and historical character.
This section has 590 feet (180 metres) of ascent and 1066 feet (325 metres) of descent, making it a delightful walk with plenty of history and natural beauty to take in along the way.

I use Davinci Resolve Studio 19 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to YouTube. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.
