We revisit mean/bullying comments we've received over the years. Some hilariously strange... and some downright hurtful.
It can be difficult for us to realize in the moment that the good/supportive comments often outweigh the bad, so we've included those at the end to help tie things together.
Bullying effects us all. And thought the cosplay community can be a wonderful/affirming place it can also be toxic.
if you are being bullied it's not because of your skill/personality/worth or anything like that. In fact it's not about you at all! You did nothing to deserve this awful treatment. What it's truly about is the tendency of people who are hurting/feeling inadequate/insecure to hurt others to make themselves feel better.
You are not alone! We stand with you as supporters and as victims of bullying ourselves. When times get tough you can hang with us because hell, we're all in the same boat :)
