COSMIC 1.6 is here! System76 has released the latest version of its modern, Rust-based Linux desktop environment, bringing new Wayland protocol support, improvements across COSMIC apps, and several important bug fixes.

In this video, we take a look at what's new in COSMIC 1.6, including wl-dmabuf-v6 support, Emulated Input (EI) support, improvements to COSMIC Files, Settings, Greeter, Edit, Notifications and COSMIC Term, plus fixes for several annoying issues.

This independent Linux distribution, previously known as Serpent OS, continues to push cutting-edge open-source technology with its own Moss package manager and Boulder build system.
