2022 PINOCCHIO MOVIES! Which Was The Best? - Disney vs Guillermo Del Toro vs Vasiliy Rovenskiy! finnthepony 2022-12-30 | 2022 Pinocchio movies are apparently a genre of animation now! Who would've thunk?! Well, before we ring in the New Year of 2023, let's take a look at the three times Pinocchio graced us at the movies this year and decide which one is the best! Will it be Pinocchio a True Story featuring yassified Pauly Shore and out of place Tom Kenny? Will it be the Disney 2022 remake of Pinocchio featuring CGI galore as well as completely botched story beats and morals? Or will it be the Netflix Pinocchio adaptation by Guillermo Del Toro? Aka, the only good one? Charlie, Angel Dust, Alastor and Vaggie all looked pretty dang good, and today we're gonna analyze the new looks of the minor characters! WHAT WE REALLY NEED In The Little Mermaid 2023 - A Disney Live Action Remake Prediction and Analysis finnthepony 2022-09-24 | Man, The Little Mermaid 2023 trailer sure got a lot of media buzz didn't it? X) More than any other Disney remake I've seen in quite a while. We got to see Halle Bailey in full Ariel cosplay and a look at the film's.....interesting visual style. I'm personally kinda burnt out on Disney live action remakes as a whole, but considering how near and dear The Little Mermaid is to my heart, I'm secretly crossing my fingers that this can be one of the better ones. So here is what I hope to be a fair and balanced checklist of the things that I believe would make The Little Mermaid 2023 a decent remake, mostly centering around story, characters, music and tone. Ariel needs to be understood properly, Prince Eric could use a little more character, Under the Sea needs to be spectacular, characters like Sebastian and Ursula need to stay themselves cause they're already perfect and the visuals really need a glow up! Literally, glow it up so it looks brighter! If Carl died instead of Ellie, how would she handle the situation? Would she be a depressed sad sack like her husband or would she go out and have a new adventure like her mantra stated? What would become of characters like Russel and Dug and Kevin and Charles Muntz? Would things in general be looking Up or Down for our heroine? A Minions The Rise of Gru Review IN MINIONESE! (Yes, For Real!) finnthepony 2022-07-09 | Minions The Rise of Gru was a funny and entertaining little movie with great comedy, well done animation and simple but lovable characters. It spawned some positive reception, rave reviews and even a weird TikTok meme. I enjoyed it quite a bit so obviously I wanted to make a review like most other people. ^^ But of course my brain wouldn't just let me release any old cartoon analysis. I had to do something unique. So how about doing the entire review in Minionese! Yup, I actually found a translator for the fictional language of the minions and recorded the whole review speaking it. What Pixars Lightyear COULDVE BEEN! - A Lightyear Review and Analysis! finnthepony 2022-06-25 | Pixar's Lightyear has been out for about a week at this point, and I honestly didn't feel like making a Lightyear review or analysis unless I could really add something to the conversation. And I think this video will do just that! Join me as I cover a few setbacks of Disney's new Buzz Lightyear origin story such as the generally bland visual style despite the gorgeous animation and the tug of war tone between realistic sci fi movie and campy space adventure. So in celebration, I wanted to do a little something centered on quote unquote "bad guys". Y'know, those characters that aren't really evil villains but were just kind of forced into the bad guy role by society and their peers, usually to the point where they either can't or don't know how to be anything else? I saw The Bad Guys trailer and it seems like that movie is gonna be in a similar vein. So my weird brain decided "Hey! Let's pit Wreck It Ralph from Disney, Megamind from Dreamworks and Despicable Me from Illumination Entertainment against each other and see which one has the best story about a bad guy going good and rising to fame!" Yeeeeeeah it was a really weird idea in hindsight, but hey, it gives me an excuse to talk about one major movie from each of the 3 animation giants. And they're all films I like so that's a plus! It's HANDS DOWN my favorite episode of Season 2 so far. ^w^ LOVE the Raine x Eda aka Raeda shipping, LOVE the slice of life format, LOVE the young versions of our favorite characters (Especially Principle Bump, the big sweetie he is ^^), LOVE Eda with her red hair, LOVE the conflict, LOVE the story, love Terra Snapdragon, LOVE EVERYTHING PRETTY MUCH! Why Bun Bun is THE PERFECT VILLAIN! - A Learning With Pibby Theory and Discussion! finnthepony 2022-04-08 | So Learning with Pibby Apocalypse aka Come and Learn With Pibby FINALLY got some new content on April Fools day! In the form of a full on Adult Swim channel takeover of sorts, where Pibby and Bun Bun attempted to run from the glitch as it took over Rick and Morty and Smiling Friends and a couple of other shows! Not only was this a huge surprise, not only does it seem like we're getting closer and closer to a full series (heck I think the trailer showed up on HBO Max which is as good as a green light apparently X) ) but it really got me thinking about the future of Pibby's little buddy Bun Bun as the villain of the show! I thought it would just be a simple "good guy has to fight their best friend" deal, but looking at it again, I think it could be a lot more complex than that! The Red Panda Blessing EXPLAINED! - A Turning Red Theory and Discussion! finnthepony 2022-03-18 | Turning Red is a FANTASTIC Disney Pixar movie with animation and characters that rock! Buuuut you've probably heard that in every Turning Red review you've watched so far. X) However, one thing I HAVEN'T heard from anybody yet is a Turning Red theory that gives some further explanation on this whole Red Panda Blessing in the film. Like why is Mei's mother Ming so big compared to all of her fellow females?! Do Panda spirits actually affect how technology functions? Is there any consistency when it comes to a Lee's red panda coming out for the first time? Well in this theory video, I've got a whole slew of potential answers for all the questions the film didn't really elaborate on! But seriously, even if you don't care about that, please watch the movie. It's not only a great story but it's also got cartoon energy and genuine fun deep in it's veins and it's just so entertaining to watch. ^^P.S. The MOST WHOLESOME Smiling Friends Episode EVER! - A Review and Discussion! finnthepony 2022-03-04 | Smiling Friends has been on the top of my watch list for a while now! I'm getting real and talking about actual Colombian history today (to the best of my ability at least. ^^; ) Yup, with Encanto being confirmed as a future franchise by Disney and the likelihood of an Encanto series and/or sequel looking brighter than ever, I wanted to theorize what exactly the Madrigals might see if they ever decide to leave the Encanto for some adventures! What's Colombia been up to while they've been hiding away? Should Abuela Mirabel Luisa Bruno Camilo Dolores and the rest even bother leaving? Or is it safer to just stay put for a while? But do you recall the long list of scrapped Madrigals? Well, you're about to! ^^Yup in this week's Encanto Theory , I'm taking a page out of my "What's Inside Every Madrigal Room" book and playing another game of "let's be creative!" AKA, I'm gonna take a good long look at every unused Encanto character that the behind the scenes and special features could muster and break them down! This includes their designs, descriptions and apparent gifts. Plus I'll be throwing some of my own thoughts on what they likely could have done if they made the final cut! I honestly love the film the way is it, characters, story arcs, songs and all, but it can be fun to think about what we could have had if things were different. ^^ And trust me, there was a LOT of cool stuff left on the cutting room floor with this film!P.S. - Apologies if the organization of this video is a bit scattershot. And rightfully so! It has so much potential! One thing I've seen people discuss is how the glitch from Pibby and the void from The Amazing World of Gumball are somehow related. And while I disagree with that statement, there is one element of Gumball that could really spice up the story if they decide to utilize him! In case you could tell, it's Rob. Why Ozzies Raises SO MANY QUESTIONS! (AND FEELS!) finnthepony 2021-11-21 | Helluva Boss Episode 7 Ozzie's is PAAAAAAIN! I'M NOT EVEN GONNA HIDE IT! THIS ONE HURT! I mean a LOT happened this time around! We had Stolitz facing its biggest obstacle yet with both Blitzo and Stolas getting some deep character dives as a result. We got Moxxie and Millie reminding us why M&M is best ship! We got Asmodeus and Fizzarolli giving us an awesome show and an awesome song (seriously, House of Asmodeus was amazing!) And we get to see what the Lust Ring is like first hand! Also yes, my Helluva Boss theory senses were going nuts with those last few minutes and there will be more videos where I expand on stuff I barely touched, like a full Blitzo x Stolas analysis and a part 2 to my Blitz's Life of Lovelessness video.
