Here comes the tirade of corsair fanboys...
Ok, look. This is the third out of four corsair products that I've purchased to not work properly. All of the coolers that I have purchased from corsair have either broken or have had a problem similar to this. Improper cooling is the one thing that actually physically damages processors. I can not have my $300 CPU be destroyed because of a poor quality third party cooler.
