Xkeeper | [Corruption] Meet boom-plus-dx.lua (Super Mario Bros. 3) @Xkeeper0 | Uploaded October 2013 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
New version of the old Lua script with a few more features, including every old gamer's dream, the ability to activate random Game Genie codes!
The top right is a status panel for what corruption is currently active:
C: GG Codes. Any active code lights this. (Hold X: add; Hold C: del)
R: RAM* random corruption. (Hold A)
I: RAM* +/- 1 corruption. (Hold S)
E: Ext. RAM** random corruption. (Hold Q)
S: Ext. RAM** +/- 1 corruption. (Hold W)
Rewind functionality: Hold Z. (Rewind time remaining shown in bottom right)
*: 0000-07FF: All games use this, often is the basic game data
**: 6000-7FFF: Extended RAM/SRAM. Used for save data or decompressed data (level layouts, etc). Not all games have this, but several do
You can change the keys at the top of the script to fit your needs, or increase the default rewind length (it's pretty short).
Script link: dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/27790736/lua/boom-plus-dx.lua
Save and run with FCEUX 2.2.2 (http://fceux.com).
To view the indicators, you'll probably need to change the scanline cutoffs in FCEUX's Video configuration from 8-231 to 0-239 (but you should do this anyway).
