In Kyiv, protesters held another rally on Aug. 16 demanding the return of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov to office. Participants carried signs reading “Innovation = Victory,” “Corruption Kills,” and “Nothing Will Fix Itself.”

Similar demonstrations were also held in Lviv, Dnipro, Lutsk, Rivne, Poltava, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi.

The protests began after Fedorov’s dismissal in July. He later said he would not accept another government post unless he was reinstated as defense minister.
