Burbex explores this HUGE 30-story golden skyscraper which was abandoned during construction when the CEO did a runner with almost a hundred million dollars in investors’ capital.
His Golden Phoenix Hotel was pretty swanky for the time it was open, and because it was close to the F1 race track, drivers like Michael Schumacher would often stay there.
The CEO wanted to expand the hotel complex, and gathered together $93,000,000 to add a golden skyscraper and leisure complex. When the skyscraper was around 75 percent complete, the CEO disappeared with all the invested money and the entire business collapsed.
He could be anywhere in the world right now, but he risks being arrested and charged with corruption if he comes back to China.

In this episode of Burbex, Brin and Senzuri have a close shave with a security guard as the duo explores an abandoned Gillette razor blade factory in Shanghai. Not only did the factory produce razor blades, but also luxury fountain pens for Parker and Waterman. In this legendery episode of Burbex, Brin explores an abandoned cement factory on the riverbanks in Shanghai. Starting strong, he found a laboratory with everything left behind, from beakers to bunson burners, and enough chemicals to build a bomb. Thats not even the best bit though of this 4KHD adventure though.
Within the factory, he also finds a huge cement silo with the most epic echoes ever, and gives crazy shout outs to his Patrons. The highlight of the whole trip though, is climbing an abandoned water tower via a very sketchy ladder stretching seven stories straight up for an insane view of the plant and the river.

In this heart-breaking episode of Burbex, Brin visits a beautiful abandoned Chinese village on the outskirts of Shanghai, which is gradually being demolished. The children of the demolition town play in the ruins and dig up lost treasures, as the state agency in charge of highway construction forces them out of their homes to be relocated. Just a few short months later and most of the village is gone.
