Last night was a scary reminder of how quickly accidents can happen 😢
Pino accidentally ate food that contained raisins, so we took him to urgent care immediately. The vet performed induced vomiting to remove the stomach contents, and the treatment went as planned.
Pino stayed alert, active, and in good spirits throughout the visit. The vet also told us he behaved very well during treatment.
After back home, he is a little tired from the medication (which is normal), but he ate some food and is resting comfortably.
We’ll be returning for follow-up blood work to make sure his kidneys weren’t affected, as grape and raisin toxicity can sometimes have delayed effects.
