Does talk about freedom effect people's experience of freedom and/or their actual possibilities of free choice?
Can people be talked into denying or even underestimating their agency? What motives do people have for wanting to understand themselves (and/or their lives) as either free or as determined?
I'd welcome clear and direct responses to those questions.
