Copywrite: no it's not a spelling mistake. It's vital that you know about protecting your copyright and not signing it away unnecessarily. Did you know that Creative Commons licences protect your rights too? This session explains how you can best protect your rights as an author/creator and how you can get permission to use the works of others (such as maps, tables, graphs, quotes) in your publications or thesis.
This session enables you to:
• Understand the basics of how you have copyright in your works
• Develop a range of strategies to deal with licenses you may be asked to sign
• Understand how to get permission to sue the works of others.
