YouTube creators with channels dedicated to Music, Music artists, Hi-Fi, new & old records, audiophile recordings, vinyl, CDs, pop charts etc. create every day quality content in the form of videos, free for everyone.

In most of these videos, creators need to play a specific track or a part of the music of that specific album and artist they are presenting. This is done in the majority of cases not for profit (those who do, already have a license) but for passion and to better communicate the message of that video (for example a review of a record or of a music genre, the biography of an artist or as a test disc for hi-fi equipment).

By doing so (if the music and artists are clearly stated), the related companies, the artists themselves, recordstores, the streaming services and anybody that holds the rights connected to that specific album or music, will greatly, enormosly benefit from that video. It is free publicity, coming from authoritative creators that people trust in the form of reccomendation and not as a sale. This type of (indirect) promotion can only increase the popularity of that music and/or of that artist and hence increase the sales of the relates music productions and copyright holders.

We all know what recently happened to the music album "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac. A person on TikTok posted a video with a song from that album. The video went viral and after 45 year the Fleetwood Mac album got back on the US top 20 charts with massive sales, all because of a video.

If copyrights holders, record companies and artist deny the reproduction of their music on these platforms, mainly YouTube, they are missing out on a huge portion of revenue and, from a creator's point of view, the videos will be much less engaging.

The solution is to give a special LICENSE to reproduce copyrighted music within videos to those channels that have a sturdy reputation, that talk about music and that promote music and its artists in all forms.

Currently, most videos get blocked and cannot be shown to the public due to copyright restrictions that do not help anyone. These restrictions make no sense especially now, in a period of time when all the music is always available, legally and for everyone through the multitude of free streaming services such as Spotify.
