Study shapes and forms by copying them. Develop a good eye for proportion and detail. 1. Construct the shapes using different lines. 2. Use separates sheets of 14x17 bond paper for different colored pencils. 3. Use number 2 graphite, Black, Indigo Blue, and Tuscan Red pencils made by Verithin or Color-erase. 4. Copy each shape so that your sheet has a total of 3 evenly spaced columns. 5. Hold your pencil naturally, the same way you sign your name. 6. Keep your pencil sharp and the finished lines dark. 7. Over-shoot the corners of the shapes in the row on the right. 8. Lightly sketch the center line of the cylinder. 9. Freehand draw an even border about 1/2 inch around the sheet. 10.
