Can you layer copper peptides with vitamin C?

Usually, layering skincare products is a pretty temporary interaction. But copper peptides give us a little more pause.

We've asked suppliers about this over the years and gotten very different answers. Some are completely fine with layering copper peptides and vitamin C, while others strongly recommend against it.

We've also seen copper peptide materials vary between suppliers, and several brands specifically advise against mixing their copper peptide products with vitamin C—including some encapsulated formulas.

One important clarification: this discussion is specifically about ascorbic acid, not every form of vitamin C.
