Description of the exercise :
In this third exercise, the introduction of the bass drum playing a 3 against 4 polyrhythm fundamentally changes the perception of what the left hand is playing on the snare drum. The addition of the bass drum makes each of the four beats unique and different, as all twelve pulses are now needed for the compound rhythm to repeat. This gives each cycle of the rhythm played on the snare drum a different context and an overall different feel. Good luck; this exercise is more challenging to master!
