Not quite as entertaining visually as the previous couple of videos but i had to get the Kombutcha bottled and didn’t feel like making it into a whole production (meaning change out of lounge wear and brush my hair and put on my battle dress) so just went ahead with this for those who are Kombucha curious and worry that its way too much work.
I’ve been using this method for almost 5 years now with zero ill effects, and incredibly robust and healthy SCOBY. I now run two X 2 gallon concurrently so we never run out of home brewed Kombutcha! So people worried about my hands or my jars or metal or whatever, make your Kombucha how you want, and I’ll keep doing what works for me :)
Its super simple...
The ratio is:
1 gallon of water
10 tea bags
1 cup sugar
1 SCOBY (symbiotic culture of Bacteria and Yeast). If you are local, as you can see, i end up with a massive excess of SCOBY and am happy to hand off (or in current situation, toss it to you from 6 feet away) 😉
