DIY Cookies For Guinea Pigs
Please Note: These cookies can be fattening if fed often so please feed sparingly! The ingredients are all very natural and healthy in comparison the the majority of pet shop treats available. You don’t need all these ingredients to make the cookies, you can easily adapt the recipe to ingredients you have in your kitchen.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup chia
1/4 cup flax
1/4 cup sunflower
1/4 mixed oil seed (cumin, caraway & fennel)
1/4 cup pea flakes
1 cup safe plants (I used dried plants)
1/2 carrot
1/2 apple
Dehydrate or oven dry on a LOW heat! High temperatures reduces the vitamin & mineral content so lower temperatures are best. They are ready once they feel hard/crisp but not rock hard - don’t want to hurt their teeth! :)
