The El Paso County Commissioners Court declared Aug. 31 as “Cookie Queens Day” to honor one local Girl Scout and her troop after a national documentary showed their dedication and entrepreneurship in selling the beloved Girl Scout cookies.

The documentary, “Cookie Queens,” is about the busiest time of year for the girls in green berets: Girl Scout Cookie season. The film revolves around four girls and their troops.
