ESPN’s Stephen A. smith received the NABJ’s “thumbs down” award for his disparaging of Black women in sports, politics, and media. He defended himself by stating it’s unfair to receive this since he is about to be in the broadcasting hall of fame and that he was raised by Black women. In light of these revelations Smith ran to Fox News to discuss the National Associstikn of Black Journalists and president Erinn Haines with host Sean Hannity and NewsNation anchor Chris Cuomo.
