In this video, I show how to convert a common laptop charger into a reliable power supply for a balance charger, explaining what to look for in voltage, current, and total power delivery. Beyond the wiring, I also explain why using a separate DC power supply opens you up to far more balance charger options compared to all-in-one AC chargers, including popular high-performance models like the ISDT Q8 and ToolkitRC M7 that require an external power source. Whether you’re charging LiPo batteries for FPV drones, RC cars, or other hobby projects, this guide helps you reuse hardware you may already have while giving you more flexibility, better charging performance, and an easier upgrade path as your setup grows.
