Since I have a gas stove, I needed to install a vent over it. It was a bit of a process, but I like the end result.
The video is a little confusing. What happened was that the termination of the duct wouldn't lay flat against the curve of the roof. So, I opted to attach only the bottom portion of it to the exterior of the bus. The rest was held in by how it was attached to the duct work. This left a big gap at the top of the duct that worried me. I sealed it in with roofing sealant, but it still looked too sketchy to me. So, with the sun going down, I quickly improvised a piece of flashing and installed it over the top. This left a big gap between the flashing and the top of the duct that I then filled with insulation and roof sealant. It took some "massaging," but I am confident it won't leak now. It's a bit ugly, but eventually I plan to repaint everything, at which point I will focus more on aesthetics.
