On Earth Day 2020 it is fitting that we speak to 23 year old globally renowned, African climate change activist, Vanessa Nakate from Uganda. @VanessaNakate1 is clearly a guardian of Earth and has broken personal barriers as an introvert to speak up on climate change and the need for climate justice and environmental justice and to end environmental racism.
Vanessa is an example of how one voice can make a change. She is a Girl Boss who wasn't afraid to call out powerful international media for their racism when they cut her out of an image with other white, female activists in Switzerland.
She shares her passion for her activism and shares tips on how other young women can also become activists. She is currently highlighting the plight of the Congo rainforests.
