Before I get into the details let me first give credit where credit is due. I want to give a big thanks to Kineko Video for helping this scan and restore this bit (you can find them at twitter.com/kinekovideo), and an even BIGGER thanks to my good friend Dan who had this reel- hopefully we can scan more things soon!
Now, as for the backstory, I was scrolling through comments on a compilation video of Muppet Meeting Films, when I spotted Dan in the comments claim that there was a version of the "Sell, Sell Sell" short with the word "Controls" instead. Of course, I didn't believe him- there absolutely nothing about this on Muppet Wiki, let alone online at all. So, he sent some proof and after months of going back and forth on all film collecting talk, we had it scanned!
My theory about this is that it was produced sometime in 1975 along with the other shorts on "The Muppet Picker Upper" (but before "Sell, Sell Sell", which you can find online, by the way) and I guess it was minimally distributed until Jim (Henson, of course) might've decided to fine-tune the short a little more, to which it turned into "Sell, Sell, Sell!"
