In this video, I show how to configure the Arduino software to work with the Teensy, how to get the Teensy to act like a MIDI interface and send MIDI CC's, and how to get Renoise to respond to those MIDI messages. Here are the relevant URLs:

Renoise is not free, but there is a free trial that leaves out a couple features including the ability to export as a WAV file. I am using the free trial in the video.
