The harmony hub can simulate any push of a button, in any order, with pre determined delays between each press. This allows you to program each activity specific to your needs, which is why I didn't go into detail with the Harmony app.

With the "netflix" activity, for example, I added to the end a 3 second delay, then 3 "down" presses and then "enter." This navigated within my fire TV app to netflix and pressed enter without me doing anything.
