Meme Captured Archmage Control Paladin!
Today we're playing a completely ridiculous Captured Archmage Control Paladin deck in Hearthstone: Escape From Violet Hold!
The entire strategy revolves around Commander Beatrix. When building the deck, Beatrix lets us choose a 2-Cost minion, then shuffles 10 copies of that minion into our deck. Naturally, we're choosing Captured Archmage!
Once our Captured Archmages start dying, their Deathrattle eventually activates and casts a 6-damage Fireball at a random enemy after we've had 4 other Captured Archmages die this game. And with 10 copies shuffled into the deck, we're going to have plenty of opportunities to make it happen.
Scarlet Recruiter makes the meme even better by pulling two 2-Cost minions from our deck and giving them Rush — meaning it can immediately pull two Captured Archmages onto the battlefield and start feeding them into the Deathrattle machine.
This is still a Control Paladin deck, so we're not simply relying on the meme. The goal is to survive, control the board, and eventually turn our endless Captured Archmages into a ridiculous source of 6-damage Fireballs.
