The first Star Trek movie is generally regarded as a bit of an odd duck. It's not universally agreed that it's great (like Wrath of Khan) or that it's terrible (like The Final Frontier), or even that it's funny (like The Voyage Home). Instead, most people agree that it's... slow. Good slow, bad slow - that's what's up for discussion.
