A true contradiction happens only when a statement is both completely affirmed and completely denied at the same time and in the same context. Small differences in wording, perspective, or emphasis don’t count as contradictions—they are just variations or alternative ways of describing the same event. In other words, not every difference in accounts or retellings means something is wrong; a contradiction requires a direct, logical conflict.
