Overview
In 1992, Commandos Burn, Smith, Beans and Iron are a special forces team who have seen more than their fair share of action. Neo City is their post, Burns, receives a phone call from their informant, "Fox", who tells him the Head of Intelligence is being threatened by a criminal organization known as D.N.M.E. Burns arranges a meeting with Fox at the harbor to learn more about the situation, only to find his dead body when he arrives at the rendezvous destination. D.N.M.E. is bombarding its citizens with a typhoon of a crime wave. The C-Force has been asked to stop them, no matter what.
Characer Overview
C-Force - Short for Contra Force is a independent law enforcement group made up of "National Special Force" alumni.
Burns - Burns is the leader of the C-Force, He is a well-balanced character who can perform effectively in most situations. He comes armed with a Pistol, a machine gun, and a hand grenade. which makes him a good option for medium to long distance combat.
Iron - The he team's heavy weapons expert. The bulkiest character of the group, having reduced speed and jumping ability, although he compensates this by being the character with the most destructive potential. He carries either a Flame Thrower or a Bazooka in combat and is a good choice during boss battles, although his reduced speed may also put him in disadvantage during such encounters.
Smith - He is the team's expert sharpshooter. As the Teams long range combat expert. He is said to be a deadeye sharpshooter with his trademark Homing Missile gun. Its seeking-projectiles explode once they hit the target. His Rifle allows for hitting targets from afar.
Beans - He is the team's demolition expert. As the team's demolition specialist, who can deploy bombs and mines. He also carries a pistol for his own safeguard while traveling the battlefield. He runs faster than the rest of the characters, always kneeling, and adopts a prone position instead of crouching when holding down on the directional pad. Perhaps his main drawback is that his pistol has short range, as well as his bombs and mines, making him a more situational character, or only effective for traveling when there's not much action going on.
D.N.M.E. - what each of these letters of the acronym stands fore is unknown. They are a terrorist organization that plan on taking over Neo City at all costs.
