The new Continental ContiSportAttack 5 aims to take the popular ContiSportAttack 4 street tire and increase its performance even more, as evidenced by Continental saying the new tire now has an 80/20 split between street and track (it was 90/10 before) that promises real trackday capability without tire warmers or pressure changes.
But does it actually deliver?
We took the ContiSportAttack 5 to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway and rode it on everything from 1000cc superbikes to middleweight machines to find out where this tire shines — and where it reaches its limits.
Spoiler: it’s not quite a track tire, but that’s not the point.
In this review, we break down Continental’s new MultiZoneBelt construction, updated compounds, and whether this tire truly makes sense for riders who want one set of rubber for both street riding and occasional trackdays.
