Hey dudes, dudettes and dudles!
Creating backgrounds and empty backdrops is a big, tedious part of crossover work. You don't want a character to roam around in the background when the focus should be on the character you actually want in the shot. Thankfully, AAE has this amazing effect called "Content-Aware Fill" that does a lot of the work for you. With some teamwork, you can make those backdrops faster!

Story:
Anastasia Tremaine is a young lady on her way to her debut into society, so her mother is trying to whip her into shape to find a good match. Unfortunately, Anastasia is very clumsy and her etiquette teachers keep giving up on her. That is until her mother hires John Rolfe who takes an entirely different approach to teaching Anastasia and this time, it works. But perhaps a little too well because now John has fallen for his student... and shes fallen for him as well 👀
And yes, this plot does indeed take place in my Hollina debutante AU, for those wondering. This story is my personal canon story for Anastasia and John, this is the story that made me ship them. Ill turn this into a full crossover at some point :D

So... this is another panic video. Like for round 2, I wound up not having time for this round at all, only partially due to the new boyfriend. It was another man in my life who was the biggest reason for this... My bird Hamilton.
Basically, Hamilton decided that he really wanted to know what the inside of a trackball wire tastes like so he chewed right through and rendered it useless so I suddenly had no way of moving my mouse around on my screen. I immediately ordered a new trackball from an online shop, promising itd arrive within 1-3 business days.
SURPRISE! It did fucking not!
Two weeks passed without me seeing the shadow of a new trackball and I wrote and complained to them multiple times before I finally told them to fuck off and give my money back. (Thats the short, crude version of the conversations, it didnt actually go like that xD) and then my mom was THE BEST EVER and drove herself all the way to a different city to get that particular trackball cause its on high demand and it was literally the closest place I could get it.
By the time I could finally edit, my bird had been declared underweight by his vet and I had just moved into my BFs place (just for the Ester vacation etc.) so I decided I had to prioritize my birds new fattening diet and boyfriend. I was REALLY looking forward to do some angsty Hollina mermaids, but alas... dammit xD
So once again, this video is ONLY for the sake of showing ALL of Linas story and is not an actual proper entry. I mean, I do want that 1 point I got for the 2nd round, but yeah, obviously this aint an actual entry xD And Im not sharing a picture for this round either (this is a photoshoot round) because itd literally be the only original thing Id make and itd feel unfair if I somehow wound up winning the photoshoot round since my video obviously isnt an entry. So no new Mermaid!Holli manip, sorry people, I know youre all very sad by that xD

Ive had this idea stuck in my head for literal months and yesterday I caved in and started this project. It was this particular scene that first entered my mind and is what I always imagine when listening to this song. Well, mostly.
For the sake of this working as a tiny stand alone video (just a preview/teaser *cough*) I didnt clarify EXACTLY why a not-quite-there Jasmine is encouraging Christopher to jump out the goddamn window, but if you know the song, you may be able to figure out whats actually happening... sort of.
The song is about a guy regretting letting go of the love of his life and reminisches about their time together and that he cant really let her go, so... he doesnt. Or at least thats the idea for the full video (well, just one minute of the song at least lolol)
So if/when I do more of this song, this scene is gonna change quite a bit. But for the sake of just these 9 seconds making sense on their own, its just Jasmine encouraging Christopher to jump out the window xD

It has multiple mistakes and stuff Id usually spend time to fix, but Im done with this video xD Its my own fault, I took too long to actually start this so it became a source of stress for me and I spent weeks thinking there was no way Id even finish all I had planned, but I AT LEAST did that! (Except that Maua was actually supposed to get ahold of her mom, but Ill just do that next round... xD)

After discovering the body of Mr. White (Clayton), one of the staff members calls the detectives who show up immediately at the White manor. After Detective Miles (The Colonel) follows Sophia (Jane) to see the body, Detective Mason (Kent) takes the guests to a lounge for them to wait while each of them are questioned.
01:19 Venting with Snow
While waiting, Maua (Jasmine) gets to chat with multiple guests, firstly Snow (Ariel) whom she confesses to that the reason why she even showed up at the party was to learn more about her mother and where Maua came from. Little does Snow know that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
02:36 Flirting advice from Nico
When its Snows turn to be questioned, Maua glances towards Henry (Korso) whom she met during the blackout, lamenting the fact that he might be the only good thing about this party. Nico (Tulio) approaches her and teases her about her newly developed crush, referring to Henry as a DILF - a term Maua is unfamiliar with.
03:36 Cringe
Nico offers a suggestion on how Maua might get closer to Henry, but the advice backfires as Henry takes what she says a bit too literal.
04:15 Meow
On her way to her interrogation, she meets Henry again who finally takes the chance to ask her what her name is. Despite some stuttering, and an unfortunate mispronunciation of her name, the two finally introduce themselves to each other.
04:35 Interrogation
During the interrogation, Maua recognizes one of the detectives despite not having seen him for the past 15 years. He remains professional, but Maua catches a quick glimpse of recognition from him, confirming he does recognize her at least by her unique name. During the interrogation, Maua doesnt quite reveal the full story of why she showed up to the party, but she reveals just enough to possibly accidentally giving the detectives a motive for why she might not have been fond of Mr. White.
05:46 Trying to sleep
Elizabeth (Cinderella), one of the manors staff members, comes to guide her to her room for the night. Maua takes the chance to ask her about Mr. White, but Elizabeths answer leaves Maua more confused than before.
Not long after entering her room, the detectives knock on the door to tell her that she, along with most of the guests, must stay for the night and perhaps longer yet.
06:29 Cleaning with Clara
Maua tries to sleep, but is haunted by a core memory from her childhood from when she last saw a younger Detective Miles, warning her against the path she was walking down as a child. A loud crack of thunder wakes her up and she decides she just cant sleep anymore. Maua wanders until she hears the sound of running water from the kitchen and walks inside to meet Clara (Nanny) who has loads of work to do. Being a hard worker, working multiple waitress jobs and a regular volunteer at the soup kitchen, Maua offers her help, whistling a happy little working song.
