If you’re walking, running or riding along Chisholm Trail, you may see some closures over the next week or two. Crews are removing sediment from the creek underpasses to help improve drainage. Work starts under the Independence Parkway bridge, where crews are removing built-up silt. Each day, the material is moved to a designated area near the underpass to dry before it is hauled away.
Once work is complete there, the drainage team will move to Chisholm Trail under the Spring Creek Parkway bridge. Removing sediment helps restore water quality and reduce the risk of flooding… keeping our trails safe and accessible for years to come.
