The construction crew is building an elaborate, cantilevered roof overhang for a garage. They are carefully aligning the roof rafters, even when the wall framing is uneven, using screws, shims, and boards to pull everything straight. To aid drainage, they are cutting a 3/4" slope on the top of the rafters. The overhang will extend 4.5 feet past the garage door, providing good protection from rain. The crew also has to carefully remove a concrete curb to make room for a new door. Despite challenges like uneven framing and material shortages, their attention to detail and problem-solving skills are evident as they construct this high-quality, sturdy roof system.
