Supported by a generous, six-year grant from The Sara Giles Moore Foundation, the High Museum of Art is surveying its vast collection and treating objects in need of conservation. This video serves as the first in a series that will explore how the High is sustaining its mission to safeguard the artworks in its care and to simultaneously present that work to the public while sharing a behind-the-scenes look at what conservation means. This huge undertaking involves teams of conservators, registrars, art handlers, and curators, some of whom you’ll meet in future videos, who work together to better understand and care for the work in the High’s collection.
