Clip from the 1924 German silent film, The Hands of Orlac (aka Orlac's Hände), starring classic film legend Conrad Veidt (The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, The Thief of Bagdad, Casablanca). Concert pianist Paul Orlac loses his hands in an accident and ends up with the manus* of a murderer (*Latin for hands of course ;D). I feel like here Conrad is the embodiment of that line from Sunset Boulevard: "We didn't need dialogue.
