Ele-vating elephant care and conservation worldwide is central to our mission. San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance works with numerous conservation partners, including Save the Elephants and Reteti in Northern Kenya. Through GPS tracking, behavioral science, and community-led care, wildlife specialists and local communities living among elephants are learning how to help elephants and people coexist and thrive alongside one another.
These partnerships create an essential bridge: the elephant herd at Elephant Valley helps to inform elephant care in native regions, while field work in native habitats shapes how we support the herd at the Safari Park.
