About:
The Xbox Series X/S are home video game consoles developed by Microsoft. The higher-end Xbox Series X and lower-end Xbox Series S models were released on November 10, 2020, as the fourth-generation Xbox, succeeding the Xbox One. Along with Sonys PlayStation 5, released the same month, the Xbox Series X/S consoles are part of the ninth generation of video game consoles.[4]
Rumors about the consoles first emerged in early 2019, with the line as a whole codenamed Scarlett and consisting of high-end and lower-end models codenamed Anaconda and Lockhart respectively; Anaconda was teased by Microsoft during E3 2019 under the codename Project Scarlett, and unveiled during The Game Awards in December as Xbox Series X. On September 8, 2020, Microsoft unveiled the Xbox Series S.
As with the Xbox One line, the consoles use an AMD CPU and GPU. Both models have solid-state drives to reduce loading times, support for hardware-accelerated ray-tracing and spatial audio, the ability to convert games to high-dynamic-range rendering using machine learning (Auto HDR), support for HDMI 2.1 variable refresh rate and low-latency modes, and updated controllers. Xbox Series X was designed to nominally render games in 2160p (4K resolution) at 60 frames per second (FPS). The lower-end, digital-only Xbox Series S, which has reduced specifications and does not include an optical drive, was designed to nominally render games in 1440p at 120 FPS, with support for 4K video scaling and ray tracing.
Xbox Series X/S are backwards-compatible with nearly all Xbox One-compatible games and accessories (including Xbox 360 and original Xbox games that were made backward-compatible with Xbox One); the newer hardware gives games better performance and visuals. At launch, Microsoft encouraged a soft transition between generations, similar to PC gaming, offering the Smart Delivery framework to allow publishers to provide upgraded versions of Xbox One titles with optimizations for Xbox Series X/S. Publishers are not required to use Smart Delivery, and may publish Xbox Series X/S-exclusive titles if they choose. Electronic Arts is among the developers that do not use Smart Delivery.
Critics praised the Xbox Series X/S for the hardware improvements over Xbox One and Microsofts emphasis on cross-generation releases, but believed that the games available at launch did not fully use the hardware capabilities. Microsoft has not released sales data for the Xbox Series X/S but said on July 27, 2021, that they were the fastest-selling Xbox models to date. It was estimated that Microsoft had shipped at least 14.6 million units of the two consoles worldwide by June 2022.[citation needed]

Sonos, Inc. is an American developer and manufacturer of audio products best known for its multi-room audio products. The company was founded in 2002 by John MacFarlane, Craig Shelburne, Tom Cullen, and Trung Mai. Patrick Spence was named CEO in January 2017[2]
Sonos has partnered with over 100 companies that offer music services, including Pandora, iHeartRadio, Spotify, MOG, QQ Music, and Amazon Music.[3] Sonos products work with the three major voice assistants: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple Siri, although the latter is currently only supported through Apples Home app.[4] In 2019 Sonos acquired Snips SAS, a privacy-focused AI voice platform for connected devices with the goal to bring a music-specific assistant to its devices.[5]

About:
Do you want to have fewer clicks and button presses to get into a game after booting up your Xbox Series X or S? Well this is the purpose of HDMI-CEC or Consumer Electronics Control. In this video Iβll explain what HDMI-CEC does, the requirements you need before setting it up and take you through the settings including the most recent update to HDMI-CEC on Xbox from earlier this year.
First off, what does HDMI-CEC Do?
HDMI-CEC allows your console to control other devices like your TV so that for example when the xbox turns on, the TV switches on and switches to the input for the console. The small but handy feature saves you having to bring up the TV input menu to find the one that matches your console.
So what is required to get this up and running?
Firstly youβll need an Xbox Series X or S with the latest updates installed
Secondly youβll need to have a TV that supports HDMI-CEC so check your TV or AV Receiverβs manual to confirm.
Next Iβll take you through the settings on my tv and on the XBOX so you can follow along and set this up yourself.
Your first step will be to enable CEC on the TV itself. In my case Iβm using an LG CX OLED and for whatever reason LG chose to invent their own creative name for CEC and refer to it as Symplink.
Navigate the menu as follows and enable Simplink and head over to the xbox settings to enable it there.
Once youβve enabled HDMI CEC on your display or AV Receiver head over to the Xbox settings to enable it there.
Check?? Youβll find this under Settings - General -TV & Display Options - Device Control.
The following individual CEC settings can be turned on or off by checking or unchecking the box next to each setting:
Console turns on other devices: Turning on your Xbox console will also turn on your TV or AVR.
Console turns off other devices: Turning off your Xbox console will also turn off your TV or AVR.
Other devices can turn console off: Turning off your TV or AVR will also turn off your Xbox console.
Console sends volume commands: The console can control the volume on your TV, AVR, or soundbar.
Last but not least is the
Switch TV input using controller option (this option was only added earlier this year and is super handy) :Pressing the Xbox button on your controller switches your TV input to your Xbox console (this allows you to quickly switch your TV back to console video without using your TV remote).
Once you have picked the options you want youβll need to restart the Xbox for the changes to take effect.
Now that youβve set up CEC youβll save yourself a bit of time and frustration. If youβre interested in knowing more about the rest of my living room gaming setup check out the video here by clicking or tapping the screen and Iβll see you in the next one.
Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is a feature of HDMI designed to control HDMI connected devices[1][2] by using only one remote controller; so, individual CEC enabled devices can command and control each other without user intervention, for up to 15 devices.[3]:βΒ§CEC-3.1β For example, a television set remote controller can also control a set-top box and a DVD player.
It is a one-wire bidirectional serial bus that is based on the CENELEC standard AV.link protocol to perform remote control functions.[4] CEC wiring is mandatory, although implementation of CEC in a product is optional.[3]:βΒ§8.1β It was defined in HDMI Specification 1.0 and updated in HDMI 1.2, HDMI 1.2a and HDMI 1.3a (which added timer and audio commands to the bus).[3]:⧧CEC-1.2,CEC-1.3,CEC-3.1,CEC-5β USB to CEC adapters exist that allow a computer to control CEC-enabled devices.[5][6]

About:
Sonos, Inc. is an American developer and manufacturer of audio products best known for its multi-room audio products.
The Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S (collectively, the Xbox Series X/S[b]) are home video game consoles developed by Microsoft. They were both released on November 10, 2020, as the fourth generation of the Xbox console family, succeeding the Xbox One. Along with Sonys PlayStation 5, also released in November 2020, the Xbox Series X and Series S are part of the ninth generation of video game consoles.[3]
Rumors regarding the consoles first emerged in early 2019, with the line as a whole codenamed Scarlett and consisting of high-end and lower-end models codenamed Anaconda and Lockhart respectively; Anaconda was teased by Microsoft during E3 2019 under the codename Project Scarlett, and unveiled during The Game Awards in December as Xbox Series X. On September 8, 2020, Microsoft unveiled the lower-end model, Xbox Series S.
Dolby Atmos is a surround sound technology developed by Dolby Laboratories. It expands on existing surround sound systems by adding height channels, allowing sounds to be interpreted as three-dimensional objects with neither horizontal nor vertical limitation.[1][2] Following the release of Atmos for the cinema market, a variety of consumer technologies has been released under the Atmos brand, using in-ceiling and up-firing speakers.
