Many sound cards have a PC Speaker header that lets you route the motherboard PC speaker signal through to the sound card. This way you can have the PC speaker sound and music play through your mains speakers. Some games use the PC speaker for sound effects and FM for music, so using this method you can mix the music and sound effects.
